Bullock Mountain Homestead/ Pubcrawls on Horseback
Enjoy the sounds of the bush in this tranquil setting of 1200acres. The guesthouse has 2 double rooms as well as 2 multi-bed rooms for families or singles. A peaceful verandah is a welcoming spot to relax on after your journey. 6klms of river frontage allow for plenty of secluded camping spots as well.
Our "Learn to Fossick for Sapphires" park has just been opened and is proving very popular.
Bullock Mountain Homestead offers meals and accommodation in their guesthouse as well as self-contained accommodation in the on-site caravans. Campers are welcome to camp near the Homestead or down by the Creek. Caravaners are also welcome. Our main activity is horse-riding but there is also plenty to do for the non-rider such as fossicking for sapphires in our Park or in the Reddestone Creek, bushwalking, fishing, yabbying and birdwatching. There is also a family of Platypus on the River, but be very very quiet.
Heritage National Parks are only 1 hour's drive away and Glen Innes boasts a Championship 18hole Golf Course.
Directions: 18klms from the town of Glen Innes. Take the Gwydir Highway west for about 2klms. Turn right into Coronation Avenue (heading to Emmaville or the Airport). About 4klms along you will see a road to the right called "Bullock Mountain Road". There are plenty of signs from this point on and we are 12klms along this road, right at the very end. You will need to go past the turn-off to Three Waters Holidays and Boolabinda Homestead. There is no need to stop here to ask directions as we are not far from there. Keep following the signs.
