| Each year's successful “Gourmet in the Glen” food festival and New England Wine Show is held at the picturesque Glen Innes Showground.
Many of the local community are joined by visitors from other regional areas and interstate to sample the fine food and wine of the region whilst listening to local artists.
The New England Wine Show is also enjoyed by wine buffs from near and far, with many bottles being purchased for later enjoyment.
The “Celebrity Cook Off” provides much entertainment and humour whilst the short courses are well attended. The happy faces of the many children at the festival show their excitement and pleasure, whether getting their faces painted or playing in the sandpit.
The hosts of “Gourmet in the Glen” and the New England Wine Show, Quota International of Glen Innes Inc. and the Glen Innes Show Society, thank all those who attended and especially all the sponsors and volunteers who make the event such a success. The funds raised will now be allocated to various projects which will benefit the local community.
